Reverend Teresa Mankin and Minister Peter Mankin
All glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a beloved child of God and my name is Reverend
Teresa Mankin. I was called by the Lord in 2011 and born again in the same year. My husband was born again in 2012.
My life verse is: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of
power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7, (NKJV)
Praise God I am a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelors in Religion; Theology and
Biblical Studies. I studied with Born Again Ministry for preparation in prison ministry. My
husband and I were ordained as Ministers in June of 2021. I completed my ordination education
track at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. I was licensed as a Wesleyan Pastor in June 2022 and I
serve with the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church family as a volunteer Assistant Pastor. I was
ordained as a reverend on June 20, 2024. I completed a Master Degree in Christian Pastoral
Counseling at Liberty University in December, 2024.
I was called to undershepherd over a Recovery Church here at SWC; Recovery Church
Poconos and walk alongside many beloved volunteers to pray for those struggling with
addictions and thank the Lord for bringing healing and restoration to many. I am in recovery 38
years from drugs and alcohol as well as my husband, 37 years; praise God. What a blessing God
allowed the team to open in September, 2024! We thank our co-lead Pastors Dana and Lynda for
their prayers, love and support.
. My husband and I volunteer as under shepherd managers at the SWC Cold Weather Shelter,
Wesleyan Inn. I volunteer with my husband in many areas all for the Lord and to love others.
We are grateful for the 35 plus volunteers who give their time freely to minister to those in need.
I am forever grateful to Jesus. I am in obedience and graciously accept what He has called
my husband and I to do for His glory in ministry. We love spreading the word of the Lord to
those incarcerated, in the community, and minister to those who are in need; homeless, celebrate
recovery inside at prison and rehabs. It is only Jesus who can save the lost, in bondage; Jesus
can and does break chains and change hearts. I am also involved in grief share and women’s
ministry. My husband Peter and I have been married 36 years and have been blessed with 3
biological children, their 3 significant others and a sudo daughter and her fiance we consider our
family. My mother went to be with Jesus on Oct. 21, 2024. My father is well at the age of 88
and my parents raised me in the Catholic religion and I am forever grateful for their prayers and
steadfast faith in the almighty Lord. I have 2 siblings, who are married, 6 nieces and nephews
and 3 great nieces and nephews; God is wonderful and I thank Him.
1 Peter 4:11: “Whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one
who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified
through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen”.
Make no mistake Jesus Christ is our leader, we are His co-leads in obedience to Him for His
glory. I pray many will be brought to salvation in Jesus Christ and speak of His Kingdom to
come to. May everyone find their love and peace in Jesus.
