SWC, in partnership with World Hope International, is adopting a village in Zambia called Japi. We will raise the $12,000 needed to provide World Hope with the resources necessary to train the people of the village of Japi to care for AIDS patients and children who are orphaned because of the AIDS pandemic. Over 25 million people have died of AIDS- related causes and over 33 million are HIV infected. The number of children orphaned as a result of AIDS is growing and expected to exceed 25 million by 2010. When a child’s basic needs are not met they are less likely to receive an education or obtain worthwhile employment. So, the cycle of pain and need continues.
SWC will no longer sit on the sidelines without doing anything for our friends in Africa. Please join us in raising this $12,000 to end the cycle of pain and need in Japi, Zambia.
